Innovation is anything that breaks with the past and creates value, as perceived by customers, in terms of processes, organisational models, technical solutions or the way a company does business. Innovation always needs to be visible in the marketplace. Because a company cannot just decide to be an innovator — it needs to be recognised as one by its customers and competitors.
Thales has a long term vision for innovation. 20% of revenues are invested in R&D and the Group has the focus on four technical domains: complex systems, hardware, software and algorithms and decision support.
Many of Thales‘s business activities are technology intensive, making innovation a strategic priority and the driving force behind the long-term development of the Group.
