As one of the world’s largest and fastest growing emerging countries, China has huge demand for urban transport, which has entered into a rapid development stage in recent years with China’s new urbanization development and increased investment in infrastructure construction. At the same time, China’s booming tourism industry has further stimulated the demand for transportation. Air transport in China also shows huge potentials for development. It was estimated that till 2032, China would replace the United State as the world’s largest single aviation market. China needs to pay attention to avoid negative impacts on urban environment and achieve sustainable mobility while developing its transportation. When reducing transportation distance with the rest of the world, China is also committed to improving transport facilities, to shorten the gaps between the urban and the rural, the east and the west, as well as the coast and inland.
